1) Eat more often.  Yes,that is right,a weight loss tips article is telling you to eat more often.  Americans are used to eating just 3 meals a day,yet that is not what most weight loss experts recommend.  They recommend that you eat 6 times a day,which equals your 3 meals,plus 3 snacks between those meals.  The meals you eat need to be smaller than normal meals,but you should be reaching your recommended amount of calories with those 6 meals,not going over or under.  Eating this often keeps your metabolism going throughout the day.

2) Drink more water.  Americans are usually pretty dehydrated,and they don’t even know it.  In fact,if you are not drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water every single day,then you are probably dehydrated too.  Your body needs water to run smoothly and efficiently,just like a car needs oil for all of its parts to run optimally.  Drink more water,and you’ll be able to lose more weight because your body won’t retain water if you’re getting enough,and it helps all of the processes needed for metabolism to run smoothly.

3) Exercise.  Simply doing a low carb diet,or some other type of diet won’t cut it.  If you really want to lose weight fast and keep it off,then exercise is definitely important.  Just doing any kind of exercise daily is better than no exercise at all.  The more time that you can dedicate to exercise,the better.  Try to find some time each and every day.

4) Do strength training.  If you really want to lose weight fast,exercise is important but not all exercises are created equally.  Strength training,or resistance training,is important for building muscle.  Muscle burns fat,and so if you can build up some lean muscle mass through strength training exercises like lifting weights,or using resistance bands,you’ll be able to burn more fat faster than just walking or running will do.

5) Count calories.  It is important to track your calories each and every day.  Studies have shown that people always underestimate the amount of calories they are actually consuming if they are not counting them properly.  This leads to people becoming overweight.

6) Don’t give up.  Often times people just want to give up when something becomes hard.  Know that weight loss is hard,and that will help you to not become discouraged when it will become harder.

7) Don’t check the scale often.  Checking the scale all of the time may simply disappoint you.  Set a day of the week that you will check,and keep yourself from getting on the scale if it is not that day.  This will help to keep you motivated and excited to see the progress on the scale each and every week.
