One of the most common questions I get asked these days is which juicer do I use. This isn’t a simple question to answer since I have two juicers, and I use them for very different purposes and at different times. Some juicing machines can do pretty well with everything, but I do like to get a really high quality juice when I make it myself,so I have a masticating juicer (which can actually do more than just that),and I have a centrifugal juicer which I use to make fruit and vegetable juice. When you are looking for the best wheatgrass juicer, you need to know that you are actually looking for a masticator. These machines have been designed to grind the grass that you put in them, and get every little drop of water out of them to make the juice. They will break every membrane there is,unlike centrifugal juicers, which mainly try to pull all the water out.
Do you need a manual wheatgrass juicer or an electric wheatgrass juicer?
Some people like to electrify each one of their kitchen appliances, but me,I have come back to the basics with some. You can find some really high quality and durable manual kitchen appliances that will definitely last with you for life. The best part is that they never need to be repaired, and they don’t make any noise when they are in use. Juicers are known to make a lot of noise, some of them are even compared to vacuum cleaners. I usually make my wheatgrass juice in the morning,so I don’t want to wake up the rest of the family if they are still sleeping, and for those days (this is usually during the weekend) I have a manual wheatgrass juicer (Z Star Manual Wheatgrass Juicer) also known as a hand crank juice extractor. It’s a little bit of work, but not as much as you would think –the handle rotates smoothly and doesn’t really take much effort. Even when used with vegetables (if you chop them first) this can make quite a good juice with not much effort from your part!

The biggest benefit that you get from a juicer like this is that it doesn’t make much noise,it doesn’t break,it is easy to maintain, and it is for life! You will get juice that has pulp and small bits and pieces of the vegetables and grass you are juicing,so you can be sure you are getting all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants you should. That is the manual juicer I suggest for wheatgrass,or any other type of juicing, but if you are certain that you want one with an electric motor, then here is my recommendation. Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer is the juicer you want to get if you want one with a motor! Sure, you will pay more than for a manual juicer, but you don’t want to be cheap,as the motor is another part which will likely break. Saving $50 and getting a cheap electric wheatgrass juicer will bite back in a short time. And just when the warranty runs out you will notice that your juicer also ran out and left only a big cloud of smoke behind.
For long term usability, you will always want to go with commercial machines, especially when we are talking about electric kitchen appliances. I used to buy cheap kitchen appliances, until I noticed that I was regularly buying new ones every two years. That doesn’t really fit my mind properly, and I had to think how I could choose kitchen equipment which will last for a longer time. Going commercial was the best way to go,as they have been designed for a longer minimum usage time than the non-commercial models.
